Who We Are

A Gathering Place Rooted in Yemeni Tradition

Sayfani Coffee House is a specialty café in the heart of Coppell, TX, where the ancient art of Yemeni coffee comes to life. From handcrafted espresso drinks to traditional Arabic Qahwa brewed with cardamom and spice, every cup we serve reflects a heritage that spans centuries.

The name Sayfani (صيفاني) evokes the warmth of a Yemeni summer — open doors, neighbors gathered over coffee, conversations that outlast the cup. That spirit defines everything about us: a place where warmth is never performative and hospitality is always genuine.

We're more than a coffee shop. Sayfani is a community hub, a cultural experience, and a daily ritual for guests across DFW. Whether you're here for your morning espresso, a pot of Qahwa shared with friends, or simply a place to feel at home — you've found it.

What We Believe In

Our Four Pillars

Every decision we make — from the beans we source to the way we greet you — flows from these guiding principles.

Share Goodness

Yemeni coffee culture is built on generosity — the belief that a great cup is always better when shared. We pour that spirit into every drink we craft and every moment we create inside our walls.

Community Together

Sayfani is more than a café — it's a gathering place. We host board game nights, community events, and open conversations because we believe that belonging is something everyone deserves to feel.

Respect & Love

We treat every guest like family and honor the centuries of tradition behind every recipe we serve. Respect for our heritage and love for our community are not values we hang on a wall — they're in every cup.

Honestly Sourced

We source our coffee with care — prioritizing ethical suppliers, authentic Yemeni origins, and traditional recipes that haven't been watered down for convenience. Honest sourcing means honest flavor.

The Mocha Legacy

From the Port of Mocha to Your Cup

The word "mocha" didn't start as a coffee drink. It started as a city — a bustling Yemeni port on the Red Sea that, for over two centuries, was the only place on earth where coffee could be traded with the world.

By the 1600s, Yemeni merchants were sailing from the Port of Mocha to Ottoman Constantinople, to the coffeehouses of Cairo, to the trading houses of Venice. Wherever they went, coffee followed — and with it, a culture of gathering, conversation, and hospitality that Yemen had practiced for centuries.

In Yemen, coffee has never just been a drink. It is a ritual of welcome — poured first for guests, sipped slowly, offered with warmth and intention. Our finjan of Qahwa, our pot of Adeni Tea, our open door in Coppell — at Sayfani, we carry that hospitality forward in every cup we serve in Texas.

FAQ

Questions About Sayfani

?
Sayfani (صيفاني) is a Yemeni word that evokes warmth, brightness, and the feeling of a summer gathering. It reflects our belief that great coffee should always come with an open door, a warm welcome, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We chose the name because it captures exactly what we wanted to build — a sunny spot in every sense of the word.
Yemeni coffee has roots going back to the 15th century and follows a completely different tradition from Western espresso. It is typically brewed with the whole coffee cherry (husk included), spiced with cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon, and served in small, handleless cups. The flavor profile is earthy, complex, and deeply aromatic. At Sayfani, you can experience traditional Arabic Qahwa alongside modern espresso drinks — both made with the same care.
Absolutely. We love hosting private gatherings — whether it's a birthday, corporate team event, or community meetup. We also offer a mobile espresso bar catering service that brings the Sayfani experience to your venue across the DFW area. Reach out via our contact page or email info@sayfanicoppell.com to discuss what you have in mind.
Yes — Yemeni beans are central to our menu and identity. We source from ethical suppliers who work directly with farmers in Yemen's ancient growing regions. Yemeni coffee is rare and precious; the terraced highland farms produce some of the most complex, sought-after beans in the world. We serve them with the reverence they deserve.
