Our Story

Coffee Has Always Been a Language of Connection

Sayfani Coffee House was born from a shared dream between two friends who moved to Dallas carrying the rich coffeemaking traditions of Yemen and a deep desire to share them.

In Yemen, coffee isn't just a drink. It's a ceremony. A conversation starter. A reason to slow down and be present. At Sayfani, we've woven that centuries-old tradition into the fabric of DFW — pairing traditional Arabic Qahwa and Adeni Tea with precision-pulled espresso and warm Middle Eastern pastries.

Whether you're a lifelong Qahwa drinker or discovering single-origin coffee for the very first time, there's a seat here for you.

Our Roots

Yemen — The Birthplace of Coffee

Long before coffee shops lined every street corner, there was Yemen. In the 15th century, Sufi monks in the port city of Mocha — yes, that Mocha — discovered that roasted coffee beans could sustain long nights of prayer and reflection.

From the Yemeni highlands, coffee spread to the Ottoman Empire, across Africa, into Europe, and eventually to every corner of the world. Every espresso pulled today traces its lineage back to those first beans grown on ancient Yemeni terraces.

At Sayfani, we honor that lineage. Our Arabic Qahwa is brewed with the same care as it was centuries ago — spiced with cardamom, served with dates, offered with warmth. We're not just serving coffee. We're carrying a heritage forward.

"The Pistachio Latte is hands down the best I've had in all of DFW. Paired it with the Biscoff Milk Cake and I was absolutely in heaven. The ambience is classy but totally relaxed — you never feel rushed. Will be back constantly."

"Brought my whole family here for my birthday and ordered a tower of Milk Cakes — that rose-flavored syrup is something else entirely. The drinks are unlike anything else in Texas. Sayfani is truly one of a kind."
